Music has always been inherent throughout Maxime Firket’s life under several atypical forms : Before producing high quality electronic music (Compuphonic), and being a DJ (Soultronik), he learned the rudiments of classical music since his early childhood. Educated as a violoncellist, and played in several pop-rock bands. He grew up listening to the sounds of Kraftwerk, Front 242, Depeche mode, and eventually got facinated by the essence of Detroit’s music (Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig …) which made him start Dj’ing. The same year, he joined the collective and started mixing for a Belgian radio (Radio Hellena).

In 2002, the duo Soultronik (with Fabian Staquet) was introduced to the world of electronic in Belgium where they appeared in a lot of clubs and parties. In 2003, Maxime took the next step by establishing his own music studio and began performing his own productions.

In 2005, by establishing contact with Cosy Mozzy from the Dirty Dancing Record label, Maxime signed for a few EP. The tracks have already been remixed by Thugfucker (aka Mr. Negative – mood music label, NY), Spirit Catcher, Sasse, Muskatt Nuss & Bangkok Impact. Now Compuphonic is performing live all over Belgium and in Spain (Rachedingue) and soon in France. Compuphonic has also been invited for a live on the well known national radio (Pure Fm) which often broadcasts his tracks.Live act, combined with DJ-set combining electro-house, 80’s, techno and minimal music could be the secret of Maxime’s success…

It all started in his rehearsal room, as he was practicing violin and discovering Daft Punk‘s debut album at the same time. Back in 2002, Maxime Firket aka Compuphonic, was finaly determinated not to focus on several rock bands that he had joined but surely decided to learn the basis of electro music production. Compuphonic quickly found his way to success and it didn’t take much time to get his first productions signed on Dirty Dancing Records (5 EP’s acclaimed by Belgian audience). As a resident DJ of Brussels’ night club “Dirty Dancing”, Compuphonic became one the youngest DJ’s on Brussels nightclubbing scene and rapidly got remixed by artists such as Bangkok Impact, Spirit Catcher, Sasse and Thugfucker.

This “groove maker” reached the international scene and got in touch with Turbo Recording. Tiga himself, decided to release Compuphonic’s “Emotion” EP on his own label. He then confirmed his ability to produce powerful dancefloor hits by signing several remixes, such as the astounding “Shaded” by Cari Lekebusch (feat. Kolombo) and “Oh Yes” by Mohan Das on Turbo Recording as well as “Anywhere” by The Presets (feat. Kolombo) on Modular. After a few more collaborations he co-produced in 2008 MVSC’s debut album, which is a project born from his association with Belgian rock band Montevideo. With more releases in 2009 on Systematic, Parquet Rec. and Add2basket, Compuphonic definitely belongs to the future of electro music.

Compuphonic has his own label: Union Match Music. The first release gathers together Fabrice Lig, Spirit Catcher, Kolombo, Ante Perry and Compuphonic himself, and is already been caned by illustrious DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Ken Ishii and Charles Webster.
